Concordia is a town and municipality in Colombia. It is located in the Antioquia region. This area is like a state or province in Colombia. Concordia is part of the Southwestern Antioquia sub-region.

The town sits high up in the mountains. It is about 2,000 meters (or 6,560 feet) above sea level. Around 25,000 people live here, including those in nearby areas. Most people in Concordia make their living by growing and selling coffee.

Concordia was founded in 1830 by Juan José Restrepo Uribe. It was first called Selva Virgen, which means "Virgin Jungle." Later, its name was changed to La Comia. Finally, it became known as Concordia.

Climate in Concordia

Concordia has a mild and pleasant climate all year round. This is because it is located high in the mountains. The temperature does not change much throughout the year.

It often rains in Concordia, especially from April to November. The wettest months are usually April, May, September, and October. Even with the rain, there is still a good amount of sunshine. The air is often humid, which means it feels moist.

The average temperature is about 18.5 degrees Celsius (65 degrees Fahrenheit). The highest temperatures are around 23 degrees Celsius (73 degrees Fahrenheit). The lowest temperatures are about 14 degrees Celsius (57 degrees Fahrenheit). This steady weather helps the coffee plants grow well.
