Concordia, Kentucky facts for kids
Concordia is a small place in Meade County, Kentucky, in the United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community," which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the county.
History of Concordia
Concordia became an official community in 1869. This means it was formally recognized and given some structure. Later, in 1880, a post office opened in Concordia. Having a post office was a big deal back then, as it showed the community was growing and needed its own mail service. The post office served the people of Concordia for many years, until it closed down in 1967.
