Connellan Airways facts for kids

Connellan Airways (later known as Connair) was an Australian airline. It flew planes mostly in the northern parts of Australia. Edward Connellan (1912–1983) started the airline on 23 July 1943.
The airline's main job was to connect people living in the very distant parts of the outback. The outback is a huge, remote area in Australia. Connellan Airways also worked closely with the Royal Flying Doctor Service. This service provides medical help to people in isolated areas.
The Name Change and End of Connair
In 1970, the airline's name was changed to Connair. However, the company started having money problems in the 1970s.
On 14 March 1980, Connair was sold to another airline company. Soon after, it was liquidated. This means the company was closed down, and its assets were sold to pay off its debts.
