Connor Evan Fields (born September 14, 1992) is an American professional BMX racer. He is famous for winning the first Olympic gold medal in BMX for the United States. He competed in three Olympic Games, showing great skill and determination in the sport.

Early Life and School

Connor Fields grew up in Plano, Texas. He later graduated from Green Valley High School (Nevada).

Olympic Journey

Connor Fields represented the United States in BMX racing at three different Olympic Games.

London 2012 Olympics

His first Olympic appearance was at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He competed in the men's BMX event. He finished 7th overall in the competition.

Rio 2016 Olympics

Fields returned to the Olympics at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He competed again in the men's BMX event. This time, he won the gold medal. He made history by becoming the first American to win an Olympic BMX gold medal.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics

At the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Fields was competing in the BMX event. During the semifinals, he had a crash. He was unable to finish the race. The International Olympic Committee sent their good wishes for his recovery.

Retirement

Connor Fields announced that he was retiring from professional BMX racing. His retirement was announced on August 11, 2022. He ended his career as an Olympic gold medalist and a pioneer in American BMX.
