Conyers Darcy was born in Yorkshire, England. His father was Conyers Darcy, 7th Baron Darcy de Knayth, who also held important noble titles. Conyers was baptized in Kirkby Fleetham, a small village in Yorkshire.
He married Grace Rokeby on October 14, 1616. She was the daughter of Thomas Rokeby. They started their family together.
His Noble Titles
When his father passed away in 1654, Conyers Darcy inherited several important titles. These included Baron Darcy de Knayth, Baron Conyers, and Baron Darcy of Meinhill. These titles showed his family's long history and influence.
Later, in 1682, King Charles II gave him an even higher honor. Conyers Darcy was made the 1st Earl of Holderness. This was a very significant achievement and showed his importance in society.

Lord Holderness and his wife, Grace, had two children:
