A Glimpse into Copeland's Past
Copeland had a post office that opened in 1887. This post office helped people send and receive mail for about 17 years. It closed down in 1904. The community was named after a local businessman, Jim Copeland. He was a merchant, which means he owned a store and sold goods to people in the area.
