Corinne Lisette Hofman (born on July 10, 1959) is a famous Dutch archaeologist. She is a professor of Caribbean Archaeology at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Professor Hofman has received many important awards for her work, including the Dutch Spinoza Prize.

Discovering the Past: Corinne Hofman's Work

Corinne Hofman was born in Wassenaar, a town in the Netherlands. She studied at Leiden University, which is a well-known university. In 1993, she earned her PhD, which is a very high university degree. Her research focused on the history of the island of Saba before Europeans arrived.

Becoming a Professor

Professor Hofman became a full professor at Leiden University in 2007. This means she became a top teacher and researcher in her field. In 2013, she also became the Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology. This is a leadership role, where she helped guide the archaeology department.

Corinne Hofman has won several important awards for her amazing work in archaeology.
