Cornell Creek Park is a fun city park located in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. It opened in 2016 and is special because it has one of Hillsboro's two dog parks! The park is in the Orenco Station area, right next to Cornell Road. It's a bit over four acres big and has a small creek running through it.

Park History: How Cornell Creek Park Started
Plans for Cornell Creek Park began in 2014. It was going to be built at the corner of Cornell Road and NW 231st Avenue. This street is now called Century Boulevard. The park was first expected to open in the fall of 2015.
The park was part of a bigger building project. This project was called the Platform District. It was near the Orenco Station MAX stop. Construction on the park started in 2014.
What Was Planned for the Park?
When they started building, the park was designed to have many cool features. These included a special off-leash area for dogs. There would also be a bocce court for games. A footbridge would cross the creek. Visitors could also enjoy walking paths and a ping-pong table. The off-leash dog area opened first in 2015. The rest of Cornell Creek Park opened in 2016.

Cornell Creek Park is divided into two parts. A driveway for a condo building splits the park.
Dog Park Fun
The southern part of the park is home to the off-leash dog area. This area is fenced, so dogs can run and play safely. It's a great spot for dog owners to bring their furry friends.
Other Cool Amenities
Besides the dog park, there are many other things to do. The park has a fun play area for kids. You can also find a bocce court for a game with friends. There are walking paths for a nice stroll. Picnic tables are available for snacks or lunch. An outdoor ping-pong table offers more fun. A small footbridge crosses the unnamed creek.
Where is Cornell Creek Park?
Cornell Creek Park is in the northeastern part of Hillsboro. You can find it at the southwest corner of Cornell Road and Century Boulevard. Across Century Boulevard, you'll see Sonrise Church and the Tessera apartments. The MAX train station and the Platform District are to the west and south of the park.
