History of Cortsville
People first started living in the area that became Cortsville in the year 1830. It was one of the early settlements in that part of Ohio.
A few years later, in 1837, a post office was opened in Cortsville. A post office is a place where people can send and receive letters and packages. This was very important for communication back then. However, the post office only stayed open for a short time, closing in 1841.
