Craig Curry (born March 24, 1973), known by his stage name Craig G, is an American rapper. He is famous for being a member of the Juice Crew. This was a hip hop group led by producer Marley Marl from Cold Chillin' Records.
Craig G started his music journey very young. At just 12 years old, he recorded his first song, "Shout Rap," with Marley Marl in 1985. In 1988, he was part of "The Symphony" with the Juice Crew. This song is seen as a very important moment in the history of hardcore rap music.
After this success, he signed with Atlantic Records. He released two albums with them in 1989 and 1991. However, these albums didn't get much promotion. His career was quiet for most of the 1990s. But later in the decade, he became popular again with fans of underground rap. In 2003, he released another album called This Is Now!!! on D&D Records. On this album, he worked with famous artists like Marley Marl, DJ Premier, and Da Beatminerz.
