The Irwins even traveled to South Africa to help release a wild leopard and learn from anti-poaching squads. Back at the zoo, they celebrated the birth of a baby giraffe named Rosie and helped a baby kangaroo named Melman. Robert also worked to save a stranded platypus.

The season ended with the family's annual trip to the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve. Here, they capture, study, and release wild crocodiles. This important work helps protect Australia's top predators.
