Cristina Mayville Stenbeck was born on September 27, 1977, in New York City, United States. She is a Swedish businesswoman and investor. She used to be the main boss (executive chairman) of Kinnevik AB. This is one of the biggest investment companies in Sweden. She also owns a lot of shares in it.

Cristina Stenbeck was born in New York City. She is the oldest daughter of Jan Stenbeck (1942-2002). He was a Swedish businessman and entrepreneur. Her mother is Merrill MacLeod Stenbeck, who is American. Cristina has three younger siblings: Hugo, Sophie, and Max Stenbeck.
Cristina's grandfather was Hugo Stenbeck (1890–1977). He was also a Swedish businessman and a lawyer. He helped start the family company, Kinnevik AB. Cristina went to St. Andrew's School (Delaware) in Delaware. She later became a trustee there. In 2000, when she was 22, she graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
