How Crosses Got Its Name
The community of Crosses was named after an early settler. A person named Mr. Cross was one of the first people to live in this area. Because of his importance as a pioneer, the community took his name.

In 2012, a well-known event happened close to Crosses. Bobby Petrino, who was the head football coach for the University of Arkansas, was in a motorcycle accident. The accident occurred when his motorcycle went off Highway 16, which is near the community of Crosses.
