Crown, Missouri facts for kids

Crown is a small, quiet place in Webster County, Missouri. It's not a city or a town with its own government. Instead, it's an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and buildings that are part of the larger county. Crown is located along Missouri Route KK. It sits on the south bank of the James River. Another community, Northview, is about three miles northwest of Crown.

Crown also had its own school. It was called the Crown Schoolhouse. Local children went there to learn. The school was named after a country store nearby. This store was also called Crown. The schoolhouse is no longer in use today. It is now a defunct, or closed, building.
