What is Crunch Time?
Crunch Time is a lifestyle show made especially for kids aged 11-13, often called 'tweens'. It helps young people learn how to live a healthy and active life. The show focuses on eating well and staying active.
Meet the Hosts and Guests
Each episode, Alice Zaslavsky and Nick Vindin welcome two young guests. Alice is known from MasterChef Australia and Kitchen Whiz. Nick has appeared on Move It and SBS TV. These guests are usually between 11 and 13 years old. The young guests share their cool talents, hobbies, and interesting stories.
Show Activities
After chatting, everyone heads to the kitchen to make a healthy recipe. Then, they go outside for a fun backyard sport or activity. This part of the show encourages everyone to be active.
Fun Segments
- Word of the Day: Each episode has a "Word of the Day." It's also called a R.A.D. ("Really Awesome-ly Difficult") Word. The hosts try to use this new word throughout the show.
- Cube of Curiosity: At the end of each episode, the guests face the Cube of Curiosity. They have to smell, touch, or taste a mystery object inside. Then, they try to guess what it is!
- Thought-Provoking Questions: The guests are also asked interesting questions that make them think.
The Set
The Crunch Time show is filmed in a colorful backyard. It's designed to look like a cool hangout spot for tweens. There's an outdoor kitchen area where they cook. There's also a grassy Turf area for sports. Plus, a comfy Hang Out spot with couch-style seating.
