What is Cryptopsy?
Cryptopsy plays a type of music called technical death metal. This is a very fast and complex style of heavy metal. It uses tricky rhythms and very skilled playing.
Since 2008, they have also played deathcore. This style mixes death metal with another type of metal called metalcore. It often has strong breakdowns and different vocal styles.
Band History
The band first formed in 1988. Back then, they were known as Necrosis. In 1992, they changed their name to Cryptopsy. They have been making music ever since.
