Crystal Clear is a popular brand of bottled purified water. It was started in the Philippines in 1990 by a company called Solerex Water Technologies Inc.
History of Crystal Clear
Solerex Water Technologies Inc. began as part of a hotel design company in 1986. By 1990, it became its own separate business. From that point on, the company focused on its new bottled water brand, "Crystal Clear."
Crystal Clear quickly became successful. It used a special cleaning method called reverse osmosis to make its water very pure. This method helps remove tiny particles and impurities from the water.
In 1997, Crystal Clear started to grow even more. It began offering franchises for water refilling stations. This means people could open their own Crystal Clear water stores. This idea was very popular.
Crystal Clear grew to be the second largest network of water refilling stations in the Philippines. It had over 2,500 franchise stores. The brand also expanded to other countries. It started selling water in Indonesia and Malaysia.
In September 2012, Solerex Water Technologies partnered with a company from Sierra Leone. This company was called Peninsular Innovative Group. Together, they launched a Crystal Clear Water location in Freetown, the capital city of Sierra Leone. This helped bring clean, purified water to more people.
