Cumberland College is a special place where students live while they study at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. It's like a home away from home for university students. The college opened in 1989.

The building where Cumberland College is located used to be the Dunedin Hospital Nurses' Home. It was built way back in 1916. The college is right across the street from Dunedin Hospital. It even has secret tunnels that connect it to the hospital and another college called Hayward College. Since it opened, more than 7,000 students have lived at Cumberland College.

Living at Cumberland College is not just about studying. There are lots of fun activities! Students can join in floor events, sports competitions against other colleges, and even ski trips. Cumberland College even tries to put students studying the same subjects together.

The person in charge of Cumberland College is called the Head of College. Currently, that's Ziggy Lesa.
