Curt Wittlin (born April 13, 1941 – died September 23, 2019) was a smart Swiss scholar. He was an expert in old languages and writings, especially from the Middle Ages. He focused on the Catalan language and its literature. In 1997, he became a member of the important Institute of Catalan Studies. He also led the North American Catalan Society as its president from 1990 to 1993.

Wittlin was born in Basel, Switzerland. He passed away on September 23, 2019, in Tortosa, Spain. He was 78 years old.
