Cusihuiriachi is a small town in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is known for its history as a mining town. The name "Cusihuiriachi" comes from the Tarahumara language. It means "erect pole."
Today, Cusihuiriachi is almost a ghost town. This means very few people live there. It used to be much bigger. In 1900, about 1,755 people lived in the town. By 2005, the number dropped to just 75. The 2010 census showed only 63 residents. This big drop happened because the local silver mines closed down. The town still serves as the main center for the area around it.
