Becoming a Chef
Early Training
Cyril Lignac started learning to cook in his home region of Aveyron, in Southwestern France. This is where he first developed his passion for food. In 2000, he moved to Paris to work in the kitchen of L'Arpège. This was a very famous restaurant run by chef Alain Passard. He learned many new skills there. He also worked with other great chefs, Jacques and Laurent Pourcel, at their restaurants La Maison Blanche and Le Jardin des Sens.
Opening His Own Restaurants

In 2011, he opened another bistro, Aux Prés, in a different part of Paris. That same year, Cyril Lignac started a new adventure. He teamed up with Benoît Couvrand to open their first pastry shop, La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac, in Paris. They opened a second pastry shop in 2013.
On February 27, 2012, Cyril Lignac received a special award. His restaurant Le Quinzième earned its first Michelin Guide star. This is a huge honor for a chef!
