Débora Denise Pérez Volpin (born December 30, 1967 – died February 6, 2018) was an important Argentine journalist and politician. She was well-known for hosting news programs like Todo Noticias and Arriba Argentinos. Later in her life, she also became a lawmaker.

Early Life and Dreams
When Débora was a child, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. Her father was a director at a hospital in Buenos Aires, which inspired her. But she also had a strong interest in communication. She went to Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires for high school. There, she helped start the school magazine. This was her first experience in the world of communication. She felt this magazine was a very important way for students to get information.
Her Career in Media
After high school, Débora first signed up for medicine. But soon, she realized her true passion was in social communication. She changed her studies and began her exciting career.
First Jobs in Media
Débora's first job was at Radio Belgrano. She worked there as a producer while still studying at university. She helped create a morning radio show. She also wrote for magazines like 13/20, which was for young people. She worked as an editor for other magazines too. Débora even wrote for big newspapers like La Nación and Clarín.
Becoming a Producer
In 1992, Débora joined a company called Artear. She was part of a group of young journalists. They were interns, learning the ropes. Their job was to help create a brand new news channel. This channel would be called Todo Noticias. It was planned to show news 24 hours a day, every day. Débora's first task was to tell other TV channels about this new idea. She spent a whole year learning about different parts of TV production.
Working as a Reporter
Débora really wanted to be a reporter. She wanted to be out on the street, finding stories. One summer, she got her chance. She filled in for reporters who were on vacation. For four years, she worked long hours as a reporter. She would go out with a cameraman. They would film news events. Then, they would send the video back to the station. Someone else would edit it for broadcast. She also made special reports for the news show Telenoche.
Becoming a TV Host
In 1996, Débora became a host for Todo Noticias. As a host, she worked with many other famous journalists. These included José Antonio Gil Vidal and Mario Mazzone. From 2004 to 2005, she also hosted a show called Síntesis. Débora also hosted shows on Canal (á) and Radio Mitre.
On April 25, 2005, a new morning news show began. It was called Arriba Argentinos. Débora was chosen to be one of its main hosts. This show became very popular. It was the most watched news program in its time slot. Her fans even created online groups to share photos and videos of her.
On June 21, 2017, Débora decided to leave Canal 13 and Todo Noticias. She had worked there for 24 years. She left to start a new path in politics.
Her Time in Politics
In 2017, Débora Pérez Volpin entered the world of politics. She ran for a position as a lawmaker in the city of Buenos Aires. She was part of a political group called Evolución. She won the election and became a legislator. She took office on December 10, 2017. She only attended one session of the legislature before her passing.
Her Passing
On February 5, 2018, Débora went to a hospital in Buenos Aires. She had a serious stomach problem. The next day, February 6, she had a medical procedure. During this procedure, she suffered a sudden heart problem, which led to her death.
Her family asked for an investigation into her death. An autopsy was performed to understand what happened. Her remains were honored at the Buenos Aires legislature. Many people came to pay their respects. She was buried next to her father in the Chacarita Cemetery.
