Accie Julius Connor (born October 22, 1973), known as D'Lo Brown, is an American professional wrestler. He is currently a producer for TNA Wrestling. D'Lo Brown is famous for his time with WWE. He also wrestled for Ring of Honor, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Noah.

Professional Wrestling Career

Starting Out (1994–1997)

Accie Connor began his wrestling journey in New Jersey. He used the name "Ace the Animal." In 1994, he wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He was often a "jobber," meaning he would lose matches to make other wrestlers look strong.

Later in 1994, he joined Smoky Mountain Wrestling. He was called "'Downtown' D'Lo Brown." He worked as a security guard for a group called the Gangstas. Brown wrestled regularly on TV shows. He also wrestled in Puerto Rico and trained more with the Heartland Wrestling Association.

Joining the WWF (1997–2003)

Nation of Domination (1997–1998)

In April 1997, D'Lo Brown joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He became a member of Faarooq's group, the Nation of Domination. He often wore a suit and stood with the group.

Later, The Rock took over the Nation of Domination. D'Lo Brown started wearing a chest protector. He said it was for an injury, but he also used it to make his finishing move, the "Lo Down," more powerful.

Winning Championships (1998–2000)

D'Lo Brown had a very successful time in the WWF. He won the WWF European Championship four times. He also held the WWF Intercontinental Championship once. At one point, he held both titles at the same time! This was a rare achievement.

In 1999, D'Lo Brown was involved in an accident during a match. Another wrestler, Droz, was seriously injured. It was an accident that could happen to any wrestler. D'Lo felt very bad about it. Droz later said he did not blame D'Lo. This accident changed how D'Lo wrestled.

After this, D'Lo teamed up with his former Nation member, The Godfather. They wrestled together for a while.

Lo Down Tag Team (2000–2001)

In 2000, D'Lo formed a tag team called "Lo Down" with Chaz. They often wrestled on shows like Sunday Night Heat. Tiger Ali Singh became their manager. The team was removed from TV when Singh got injured. D'Lo said this was a low point in his career. He then went to train in WWE's developmental territory, OVW.

Alliance with Theodore Long (2002–2003)

D'Lo Brown returned to TV in 2002. He mostly wrestled on Heat. Later that year, Theodore Long became his manager. Long formed a group called Thuggin' and Buggin' Enterprises. D'Lo Brown had a winning streak with Long.

In early 2003, Theodore Long replaced D'Lo Brown with another wrestler. D'Lo was then released from his WWE contract in February 2003.

NWA Total Nonstop Action (2003–2004)

D'Lo Brown joined NWA Total Nonstop Action (TNA) in March 2003. He often teamed with AJ Styles. They tried to win the NWA World Tag Team Championships but did not succeed.

D'Lo also challenged AJ Styles for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He did not win the title. In April 2004, D'Lo Brown and Gran Apolo won the NWA World Tag Team Championship. They lost the titles just seven days later. D'Lo left TNA in the summer of 2004.

Wrestling Overseas (2004–2009)

D'Lo Brown joined All Japan Pro Wrestling in Japan. He was part of a group called Roughly Obsess and Destroy (RO&D). He later joined a rival group called Voodoo Murders. He also wrestled in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In 2005, D'Lo Brown was a trainer for a TV show called Celebrity Wrestling in the UK. Celebrities learned to wrestle on the show.

Return to WWE (2008–2009)

In 2008, D'Lo Brown returned to WWE. He wrestled in some matches that were not shown on TV. He made his TV return on Raw in July 2008. He defeated Santino Marella. However, his appearances became less frequent. In January 2009, WWE released him again.

In March 2013, D'Lo Brown attacked Kurt Angle. He revealed he was the Vice President of a group called Aces & Eights. This meant he became a "heel" (a bad guy). He helped Aces & Eights win matches. He wrestled his first TV match in four years in May 2013, losing to Kurt Angle. After this loss, he was demoted in the group. He left TNA in July 2013.

Later Career (2013–Present)

After leaving TNA, D'Lo Brown wrestled on the independent circuit. He also returned to All Japan Pro Wrestling in Japan in 2013. He formed a group called DK (Dark Kingdom).

He continued to wrestle occasionally. His last match was on October 7, 2023. He teamed with Scott D'Amore and Tommy Dreamer to win a match for Border City Wrestling.
