Daichi Matsuyama (松山 大地, Matsuyama Daichi, born January 11, 1974) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder.

Daichi Matsuyama's Football Journey

Daichi Matsuyama was born in Sapporo, Japan, on January 11, 1974. He grew up loving football. After finishing high school at Shizuoka Gakuen High School, he joined a football club called Fujita Industries in 1993. This club later changed its name to Bellmare Hiratsuka.

Starting His Professional Career

When Daichi Matsuyama joined Fujita Industries, the team was in the Japan Football League (JFL). In 1993, his team won the league championship! This big win meant they moved up to the J1 League, which is Japan's top professional football league.

Daichi played as a midfielder. He appeared in some matches each season. However, he didn't get to play in a lot of games. He worked hard and was part of the team that won the Emperor's Cup in 1994. This is a very important football tournament in Japan.

Moving to a New Team

In 1996, Daichi Matsuyama decided to move to another JFL club. He joined Consadole Sapporo. Even though he joined this new team, he didn't get a chance to play in any matches that season.

At the end of 1996, Daichi Matsuyama decided to retire from playing professional football. He had played 20 league matches in total during his career.
