Daiki Iwamasa (岩政 大樹, Iwamasa Daiki, born 30 January 1982) is a Japanese professional football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of J2 League club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. As a player, he was a strong defender and also played for the Japan national team.

Playing Career
Daiki Iwamasa was born in Suo-Oshima, Japan, on January 30, 1982. He started playing football in high school and then at Tokyo Gakugei University before becoming a professional player.
Club Success
Iwamasa began his professional journey with Kashima Antlers in 2004. He quickly became a key player, known for his strong defense. With him on the team, Kashima Antlers made history by winning the J1 League (Japan's top football league) three times in a row from 2007 to 2009. This was a first for the J1 League! He was also chosen as one of the best players in the league, making the J.League Best XI team for three years in a row.
During his time at Kashima Antlers, the club also won the Emperor's Cup twice (in 2007 and 2010) and the J.League Cup twice (in 2011 and 2012). He played for the club until the end of 2013.
After leaving Japan, Iwamasa moved to Thailand in 2014 to play for BEC Tero Sasana. He helped his new team win the 2014 Thai League Cup, even scoring a goal in the final match!
In 2015, Iwamasa returned to Japan and joined Fagiano Okayama, a team in the J2 League (Japan's second division). He played there for two seasons. Later, in 2017, he moved to Tokyo United FC in a lower league. He officially retired from playing football at the end of the 2018 season.
International Appearances
Before becoming a professional, Iwamasa was the captain of the Japan team that won a gold medal at the Football at the 2003 Summer Universiade (a big sports event for university students) in South Korea. He even scored a goal in the final game!
He got his first chance to play for the senior Japan national team in 2008. His first international game was a friendly match against Scotland in 2009. He was also part of the Japan squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, though he didn't play in any matches during that tournament.
In 2011, he was selected for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, a major football tournament for Asian countries. He played in four games, and Japan went on to win the championship! He played a total of eight games for Japan until 2011.
Managerial Career
After retiring as a player, Daiki Iwamasa decided to become a football manager.
Early Coaching Roles
In 2021, he became the manager of the football team at Jobu University. This was his first step into coaching.
Kashima Antlers Manager
In 2022, Iwamasa returned to his former club, Kashima Antlers, as an assistant manager. He even took charge of some games when the main manager couldn't be there. In August 2022, he was promoted to be the head manager of Kashima Antlers.
His first game as manager was a 2-0 win against Avispa Fukuoka. The team finished the 2022 season in fourth place in the J1 League. In the 2023 season, Kashima Antlers had mixed results and were knocked out of the Emperor's Cup. On December 5, 2023, it was announced that his contract with Kashima Antlers would not be extended.
Hà Nội FC and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo
On January 11, 2024, Iwamasa took on a new challenge as the manager of Hà Nội, a club in Vietnam's top league. He resigned from that role on July 8, 2024.
Looking ahead, Daiki Iwamasa is set to become the manager of Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo starting in 2025.
