Dalvin Ertimus DeGrate (born July 23, 1971), known by his stage name Mr. Dalvin, is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. He also produces music. He is famous for being part of the R&B group Jodeci. His older brother, DeVante Swing, is also in Jodeci.

Dalvin DeGrate's Music Career
Dalvin DeGrate is known as the rapper for the group Jodeci. He didn't often sing the main parts on Jodeci's songs. However, he helped create and write many songs on their albums, like Diary of A Mad Band and The Show, The After Party, The Hotel. Sometimes, he even played the drums during live shows.
Solo Music and New Labels
On April 18, 2000, Dalvin released his first solo album called Met.A.Mor.Phic. It featured a song called "Why Can't We".
Later, he moved to a record company called Def Jam Recordings. He started working on his second album, Met.A.Mor.Phic 2: The Rivalry of a Singer and A Rapper. This album was planned to include other famous artists like Method Man, Redman, and Ludacris. It was supposed to come out in 2010. But Dalvin decided to leave Def Jam. He then started his own music company called DeGrate Productions.
In 2012, Dalvin announced he was making another album called "Egomaniac." However, this album was never released.
In 2014, Dalvin DeGrate started a new record label. He created it with music executive Cassandra Mills. They named their company Christo Chrome Music.
In 2017, he released a new song called "Vindication (Get Money)." It featured another artist named GOODZ. Dalvin also made a music video for this song.
Dalvin DeGrate's Family
Dalvin DeGrate has two brothers. His older brother is Devante Swing, whose real name is Donald DeGrate, Jr. Before joining Jodeci, Dalvin and DeVante toured as gospel singers. They later teamed up with JoJo Hailey and K-Ci Hailey (whose real name is Cedric Hailey) to form the group Jodeci. Dalvin also has a younger brother named Derick DeGrate.
