Dancersend is a really special place in Buckinghamshire, covering about 81 hectares (that's like 200 football fields!). It's located south of Aston Clinton and is known as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This means it's protected because of its amazing wildlife and natural features.
Part of Dancersend is looked after by the Forestry Commission, which manages forests. Another part is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT). The BBOWT has a 47-hectare nature reserve here, called Dancersend with Pavis Woods. This area is part of the beautiful Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
