Danh Monica was born on November 4, 1986, in Cambodia. She is a talented actress, dancer, and business owner who now lives in Australia. Monica learned traditional Cambodian ballet and opera from a young age. She began her acting career as a child, starring in the movie The Snake King's Child in 2001. She was also one of the first stars in Cambodian television soap operas.

Early Life and Training
Monica's mother, Men Chennary, was a court dancer. She danced for the royal family before the Khmer Rouge took control of Cambodia. Later, her mother became a teacher at a dance academy.
Learning Classical Dance
When Monica was 8 years old, she started studying classical Cambodian dance and opera. She attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Sometimes, Monica and her mother would perform together for King Norodom Sihanouk.
First Movie Role
At 13, Monica got her first movie role in The Snake King's Child. The director, Fai Sam Ang, chose her for the main part. He said she was beautiful, a good actress, and stayed calm even around snakes.
Acting Career and Business
In the 2000s, Danh Monica acted in many films. One of her famous roles was in Tum Teav (2003). In this movie, directed by Fai Sam Ang, Monica played the character of Teav. Her mother had also played this role in stage shows back in the 1960s.
