Dani Raba's Football Journey
Starting at Villarreal
Dani Raba was born in Santander, Cantabria. He joined Villarreal CF in July 2014 when he was 19 years old. Before that, he played for Club Bansander.
Raba started playing for Villarreal's "C" team. His first senior game was on August 30, 2014. He came in as a substitute and even scored a goal! This was in a game against CD Castellón in the Tercera División.
Moving Up to Villarreal B
On January 3, 2016, Raba played his first game for Villarreal's reserve team, known as Villarreal B. He replaced Alfonso Pedraza in a game against RCD Espanyol B.
He officially joined the "B" team for the 2016–17 season. He scored his first goal for them on August 28 in a game against CF Gavà. Raba signed a new contract with Villarreal on June 4, 2017.
Playing for the Main Villarreal Team
Dani Raba made his debut for Villarreal's main team on October 25, 2017. He played in a game against SD Ponferradina in the Copa del Rey cup competition.
His first game in La Liga, Spain's top football league, was on November 5. He came on as a substitute in a 2–0 win against Málaga CF.
Raba scored his first goal as a professional player on November 23, 2017. This was in a UEFA Europa League match against FC Astana, which Villarreal won 3–2. Just ten days later, he scored his first goal in La Liga, but his team lost that game to CD Leganés.
Loan to Huesca
On August 5, 2019, Dani Raba went on loan to SD Huesca. This club had recently been relegated from La Liga. He played for Huesca for one season.
He returned to Villarreal in July 2020. However, he didn't play much after that. He left Villarreal on January 31, 2022.
Time at Granada
On February 2, 2022, Raba signed a short contract with Granada CF. He only played for 24 minutes during his time there. Unfortunately, Granada was also relegated from the top league that season.
Joining Leganés
On June 24, 2022, Dani Raba agreed to a two-year deal with CD Leganés. This club plays in the Segunda División, which is the second division of Spanish football.
Family Life
Dani Raba has a younger brother named Pablo Raba. Pablo is also a footballer and plays as a defender. He trained at Racing de Santander.
