Daniel John Pollock (born August 24, 1968 – died April 14, 1992) was an Australian actor. He was known for his role as Davey in the 1992 movie Romper Stomper.

Daniel John Pollock was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. His parents were John and Lucy Pollock. Daniel went to Swinburne Senior Community School in Hawthorn during the mid-1980s.
His Acting Career
Daniel Pollock acted in several films. His first known role was in Tax in 1987. He also appeared in Salt, Saliva, ... and Sweat (1988).
He then acted in Lover Boy (1989) and Nirvana Street Murder (1990). In 1990, he was also in Boys in the Island.
Daniel continued his acting work in the early 1990s. He was in Death in Brunswick (1991) and Proof (1991).
His last movie was Romper Stomper in 1992. He acted alongside Russell Crowe in this film. After his death, Daniel was nominated for an award. This was for Best Supporting Actor at the 1992 Australian Film Institute Awards.
His Final Years
Daniel Pollock passed away on April 14, 1992, when he was 23 years old. He was buried in Gol Gol, New South Wales. His grandfather, William "Bill" Pollock, is also buried there.
Russell Crowe, who acted with Daniel in Romper Stomper, wrote a song about him. The song is called "The Night That Davey Hit the Train". He wrote it in 2001.
