Early Life and Background

Daniella Kertesz grew up in Israel. She was born in a city called Ramat HaSharon. Her father, Gabriel Kertesz, is an architect from Romania. Her mother, Dorothy, is an English teacher from Belgium. Daniella is the youngest child in her family.

She spent her early childhood in the Yemin Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem. When she was 15 years old, her family moved to Tel Aviv.

Daniella chose not to join the Israeli military. This was because of her personal beliefs. When she was 18, she moved from Israel to live in the United States.

Starting Out in Dance

Daniella loved to dance from a very young age. She started dancing when she was three years old. She even went to the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance to study it.

Discovering Acting

One summer, when she was 14, Daniella visited her brother in Tel Aviv. By chance, she met a person who helps find actors for movies and TV shows. This person offered her a chance to audition for a new TV series. She got the part!

Her first acting role was in an Israeli TV show called Reds (Adumot). She played the main character, Noa Sperling. Noa was a 15-year-old soccer player who started a girls-only team. The show was very popular and aired for two seasons.
