He started his music journey in 1999 with his two older brothers, Jon and Peter. Together, they formed a popular band called Evermore. Dann helped write some of Evermore's well-known songs, like "Running", "Light Surrounding You", and "It's Too Late".
Life and Music Career
Dann Hume was born in Feilding, New Zealand. He is the youngest of the Hume brothers. In 1999, when he was just 12 years old, he joined his brothers to create the band Evermore. They quickly became known for their unique sound.
After Evermore released their fourth album, Follow the Sun, in late 2012, Dann decided to focus more on producing music for other artists. A music producer helps artists create their songs. They guide the recording process and make sure the music sounds great.
Dann has worked with many famous Australian musicians. Some of these include Lisa Mitchell, Matt Corby, Amy Shark, and Troye Sivan. He helped them make their songs and albums sound amazing. For example, he produced Lisa Mitchell's song 'Wonder', which became very popular. He also worked on Matt Corby's first album, Telluric.
In 2019, Dann's hard work was recognized. He won a special award called Producer of the Year at the ARIA Music Awards. This award was for his excellent work on Matt Corby's album, Rainbow Valley. It showed how much he had achieved as a music producer.
