Daria Guidetti is an Italian astrophysicist who was born in 1978. She works with the INAF, which is a big research center for astronomy in Italy. Daria studied astronomy at the University of Bologna. She is also a member of the astronomy club in Montelupo Fiorentino.
Daria Guidetti helped discover two asteroids! These space rocks are named 34004 Gregorini and 49443 Marcobondi. She found them at the Montelupo Observatory in 1998 and 2000. She worked with other Italian astronomers, Maura Tombelli and Egisto Masotti, to find them.

Daria Guidetti has also appeared on television! In late 2016, she started working as a reporter for a sports TV show called Quelli che il calcio on Rai 2. She would report from the stadium during Empoli Football Club matches.
In 2018, Daria created and hosted her own TV show called Destinazione spazio (which means Destination Space). This show was about space and aired on a local TV station called Reteconomy.
Writing Books About Space
In December 2019, Daria Guidetti published a book titled Campi magnetici (Magnetic Fields). This book was part of a series called Viaggio nell'Universo (Journey into the Universe). It was published by a well-known Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera.
On May 14, 2021, an asteroid was named in her honor! The asteroid is called 27005 Dariaguidetti. It was discovered by astronomers Giuseppe Forti and Maura Tombelli in 1998.
