Darin Johnson's Early Basketball Days
Darin Johnson played basketball in high school. He attended Franklin High School and Sheldon High School. He was a very promising player. Many experts thought he would be a great college player.
College Basketball Career
In 2013, Darin joined the University of Washington. He played for the Huskies for two years. As a freshman, he scored about 5.9 points per game. He also grabbed 1.6 rebounds per game. In his second year, he averaged 4.4 points.
After two years at Washington, Johnson moved to Cal State Northridge. He sat out the 2015–16 season. This means he could not play in games that year. He started playing for Cal State Northridge in the 2016–17 season. He played in 30 games as a junior. He averaged 13.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
After his junior year, Darin decided to become a professional player. He entered the 2017 NBA draft. He even had a special workout with the Sacramento Kings. This was a chance to show his skills to an NBA team.

Darin Johnson started his professional career in 2017. He was chosen by the Delaware 87ers in the 2017 NBA G League Draft. He was the 12th player picked overall.
Playing in the G League
In his first season with the Delaware 87ers, he played well. He averaged 6.2 points per game. He also got 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. In October 2018, the Philadelphia 76ers signed him. However, he was waived (released) by the team the very next day. He then joined the Delaware Blue Coats for their training camp.
International Basketball
In 2019, Darin Johnson played basketball in Mexico. He signed with Rayos de Hermosillo for the CIBACOPA season. Later that year, in September 2019, he moved to Ireland. He joined the Maree Basketball Club. This team plays in the Irish Super League. He was recognized for his great play in Ireland. He was named to the All-Star Third Team.
