Dario Hübner, born on April 28, 1967, is a former Italian footballer. He was a fantastic goal scorer, known for finding the back of the net over 300 times in his career! People called him Il Bisonte (which means "The Bison") because of his strong playing style.
Dario Hübner became famous later in his career when he started playing in Italy's top football leagues. He even became the oldest player to win the Serie A top scorer award when he was 35 years old in the 2001–02 Serie A season. This record was later broken by another player, Luca Toni, in 2015.
As a forward, Dario was great at spotting chances to score. He was good at finishing with both his head and his feet. He was also a skilled penalty taker.

Playing Career Highlights
Dario Hübner started his football journey in 1987 at a team called Pievigina. He played in lower leagues like Serie D and Serie C for several years. He then moved to Cesena in Serie B, where he continued to score many goals.
Reaching Serie A
In 1997, when he was in his thirties, Dario Hübner finally made it to Serie A, Italy's highest football league. He joined Brescia, a team that had just been promoted. In his very first Serie A game, he scored a goal against Inter at the famous San Siro Stadium. In his second game, he scored three goals in one match against Sampdoria!
Even though he scored 16 goals that season, Brescia was moved down to Serie B the next year. But Dario became the team's captain and helped them get back into Serie A. He scored 21 goals in the 1999–2000 Serie B season to help them achieve this.
Playing with Roberto Baggio
In the 2000–01 Serie A season, Dario played alongside the legendary Roberto Baggio at Brescia. Together, they were a powerful duo. Dario scored 17 goals that season, helping Brescia qualify for the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup.
Top Scorer in Serie A
After his time at Brescia, Dario joined Piacenza in 2001. This is where he truly shined! In the 2001–02 Serie A season, he became the top scorer in Serie A, scoring 24 goals. He shared this award with another great player, David Trezeguet. Dario was 35 years old at the time, making him the oldest player to win this award until 2015.
Dario Hübner is one of only two players to have won the top scorer titles in Serie A, Serie B, and Serie C1. He won the Serie B top scorer award in the 1995–96 season with Cesena and the Serie C1 top scorer award in the 1991–92 season with Fano. He is also Piacenza's all-time top scorer in Serie A.
Later Career
After Piacenza, Dario played for a few other teams, including Ancona and Perugia in Serie A, and Mantova in Serie C1. In 2005, he left professional football but continued to play for amateur clubs like Chiari and Rodengo Saiano. He played until 2011 before retiring and starting a new career as a coach.
