Darius James, also known as Dr. Snakeskin, is an American author and performance artist. He was born in 1954. He is known for his unique writing style and his interest in different cultures.
Darius James has written several books. One of his well-known works is That's Blaxploitation: Roots of the ... 'Tude. This book explores the history of a certain film style in an unusual, personal way. He also wrote ...: An Urban Parable, which is a story written like a movie script.
His work often shows influences from the Voodoo religion, especially from Louisiana. Darius James currently lives in Hamden, Connecticut.

Darius James has also been involved in filmmaking. In 2006, he appeared in a movie called Black Deutschland. He had lived in Berlin, which is where the film is set.
