Darksville, Missouri facts for kids
Darksville is a small, unincorporated community located in northern Randolph County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. You can find Darksville along Missouri Route C, about three miles east of the Thomas Hill Reservoir dam.
History of Darksville
The area where Darksville now stands was first settled in 1856. Just two years later, in 1858, a post office was opened in Darksville. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It stayed open until 1907. The community got its name from a nearby stream called Dark Creek.
