Randolph County is a county in the northern part of Missouri. In 2020, about 24,716 people lived here. The main town, or county seat, is Huntsville. The county was started on January 22, 1829. It was named after John Randolph of Roanoke, a famous politician from Virginia.
Randolph County is part of the Moberly area. This area is also connected to the larger Columbia-Moberly-Mexico region.

People from the southern states like Kentucky and Tennessee first settled Randolph County. They brought their traditions with them. They also grew crops like hemp and tobacco.
Randolph County was part of an area called "Little Dixie." This name came from the culture and traditions of the settlers. Many counties along the Missouri River were settled this way.
A very important person from Randolph County was Omar Nelson Bradley. He was one of only nine American military leaders to become a 5-star general.
