David Thimothy Harper (born September 7, 1917 – died January 15, 1996) was an American baseball player. He played as an outfielder in the Negro leagues during the 1940s.

Dave Harper was born in Conley, Georgia. He grew up to become a talented baseball player. Before playing professionally, he attended Clark College. He passed away in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996 when he was 78 years old.

Playing in the Negro Leagues

The Negro leagues were professional baseball leagues in the United States. They were active from the late 1800s to the 1960s. These leagues were formed because African American players were not allowed to play in Major League Baseball until 1947.
