Dave Salmoni, born on September 4, 1975, is a Canadian expert who works with animals. He is an animal trainer, an entertainer, and a television producer. Dave owns a company called Triosphere. It is based in South Africa and makes movies about wildlife. Dave has spent his life helping to protect animals.

Dave Salmoni's Life and Career
Early Life and Education
Dave Salmoni grew up loving wild animals. His mom was a figure skating coach. His dad was a scientist. They helped him learn to love nature.
Dave went to Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. He studied zoology, which is the study of animals. For his main university project, he studied how black bears hibernate.
While at university, Dave also learned how to safely handle wildlife. He helped move elk to new areas. He also helped count white-tailed deer for the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Working with Animals
In 1998, Dave started training animals. He worked at the Bowmanville Zoological Park. In 2000, Dave moved to South Africa. He joined a special project there. This project aimed to help Bengal tigers live in the wild again.
In 1999, Dave had a scary experience. A large African lion he had trained, named Bongo, attacked him. This event later inspired one of his TV shows.
Dave Salmoni on TV
Dave Salmoni has hosted and produced many TV shows. These shows are often about wildlife. He works with channels like Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
One of his early shows was Living with Tigers. It showed his work on the tiger project. He also made Into the Lion's Den. Another show was Sharks: Are They Hunting Us?.
Dave was also the host and an expert on Animal Face-Off. In this show, they compared different animals. He currently hosts Rogue Nature. He also made After the Attack and Into the Pride.
Exploring Dangerous Islands
In 2014, Dave started a short series called Deadly Islands. In this show, he visited very remote islands. He lived close to some of the world's most dangerous animals.
Dave wanted to see how people survived in these harsh places. He visited islands like Bear Island and Shark Island. He even put himself in risky situations to learn more.
Dave also hosted Expedition Impossible in 2011. This was a show by Mark Burnett on ABC.
