David Tyre Bishop (born March 9, 1929 – died August 3, 2020) was an American lawyer and politician. He was known for serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives for many years.

David Bishop was born in Syracuse, New York, in 1929. He grew up there and attended Nottingham High School. Later, he moved to Rochester, Minnesota, where he lived with his wife and their five children.
His Education Journey
David Bishop was a very educated person. After high school, he went to Hamilton College and graduated in 1951. He continued his studies and earned a master's degree in 1962 from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He also became a lawyer after getting his law degree from Cornell Law School in 1954.
