David Grutman is a very successful businessman who owns and partners in many popular restaurants and nightclubs in Miami. He is so influential that Rolling Stone magazine once listed him as one of the 50 most important people in electronic dance music.
About David Grutman
David Grutman was born and grew up in Naples, Florida. He finished high school at Barron G. Collier High School in 1993. Later, he earned a degree in finance from the University of Florida.
In 2016, David married Isabela Rangel. They have two children together.
Building a Hospitality Empire
David Grutman is known as a hospitality entrepreneur. This means he creates and manages places where people go to have fun, like restaurants and clubs. His first big project was the LIV nightclub. He opened it in 2008 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel.
LIV quickly became very popular. In 2014, it was one of the top-earning nightclubs in the United States. After this success, David opened more exciting places. In 2013, he opened another club called Story. He also opened restaurants like Komodo and Planta South Beach.
He also started a café called OTL. Later, he opened Swan and Bar Bevy. The famous musician Pharrell is also a partner in Swan and Bar Bevy.

In 2018, David Grutman created a company called Groot Hospitality. This company acts like a main office that manages all of his different businesses. It helps to keep everything organized and running smoothly.
In 2019, David made a big move for Groot Hospitality. He sold a majority stake in the company to Live Nation Entertainment. This means Live Nation Entertainment now owns most of Groot Hospitality. This partnership helps David's businesses grow even bigger and reach more people.
