David Gutiérrez Palacios (born on July 28, 1987) is a retired Spanish racing cyclist. He grew up in Madrid, the capital city of Spain. Like many professional cyclists, he competed in road races, which are long-distance bicycle races on paved roads.
David is not the only professional cyclist in his family. His brother is Iván Gutiérrez, who is also a well-known Spanish cyclist.
Cycling Career
David Gutiérrez Palacios showed great promise as a young cyclist. He turned professional in 2010, joining the Saunier Duval–Prodir team. This allowed him to compete in major races against some of the best cyclists in the world.
Key Achievements
One of David's biggest accomplishments came in 2008, before he turned professional. He won the U23 Spanish National Road Race Championship.

He became the Under-23 National Road Race Champion. This meant he was the best cyclist in Spain for his age group that year. Winning this race is a huge honor for any young rider.
- 2009: He finished in 6th place in the Vuelta Ciclista a León, a multi-day race in Spain.
- 2011: He earned a 3rd place finish in the Adziondo Klasica, another professional race.
