David Anthony Noel III (born February 27, 1984) is an American basketball coach and former professional player. He is currently an assistant coach for the Greensboro Swarm in the NBA G League. David Noel played college basketball at the University of North Carolina. After college, he was chosen by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2006 NBA draft.

David Noel's Basketball Journey
College Champion
David Noel played basketball for the University of North Carolina from 2002 to 2006. During his time there, he helped his team win the NCAA Championship in 2005. This was a huge achievement for him and his team. In 2006, he was also named to the Second-team All-ACC.
Playing in the NBA and G League
After college, David Noel was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2006. He played one season with the Bucks. He then joined the Tulsa 66ers in the NBDL in 2008. Later that year, he was picked by the Albuquerque Thunderbirds in the NBA D-League Draft. In 2009, he moved to the Reno Bighorns.
International Basketball Adventures
David Noel also played basketball in different countries around the world. In 2009, he played for the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). While in the Philippines, he became a PBA Slam Dunk champion and was named the PBA All-Star Game MVP.
He then played in France for several teams, including Chorale Roanne Basket (2009–2010), Paris-Levallois (2010–2012), BCM Gravelines (2012–2013), Orléans Loiret Basket (2013–2015), and Cholet (2016–2017). He also played briefly in Slovakia for Edymax SPU Nitra in 2013.
Becoming a Coach
In 2017, David Noel decided to retire from playing basketball. He then started a new chapter in his career as a coach. He became the head coach for his old high school, Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina.
Since 2019, David Noel has been an assistant coach in the NBA G League. He coached for the Capital City Go-Go from 2019 to 2023. For the 2023–2024 season, he was an assistant coach for the Motor City Cruise. As of 2024, he is an assistant coach for the Greensboro Swarm.
