David Anthony Noel III (born February 27, 1984) is an American retired professional basketball player. He is now an assistant coach for the Greensboro Swarm in the NBA G League.
David Noel went to the University of North Carolina. After college, the Milwaukee Bucks picked him in the 2006 NBA draft. He was the 39th player chosen overall.

Playing Career Highlights
David Noel played one season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. After his time with the Bucks, he joined the Tulsa 66ers in the NBDL.
Playing in the D-League
In 2008, the Albuquerque Thunderbirds picked him in the NBA D-League Draft. He later moved to the Reno Bighorns in 2009.
Playing Around the World
David Noel also played basketball in other countries.
- In 2009, he played for the Barangay Ginebra Kings in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
- He played for the French team Chorale Roanne Basket in 2009–10.
- He spent two seasons with Paris-Levallois Basket, another French team. His former college teammate, Jawad Williams, played there too.
- In 2012, he joined BCM Gravelines in France.
- In 2013, he played for Edymax SPU Nitra in Slovakia.
- He returned to France in 2013 to play for Orléans Loiret Basket.
- His last team as a player was Cholet Basket in France, from 2016 to 2017.
Coaching Career
On August 31, 2017, David Noel announced he was retiring from playing basketball. He became the head coach for his old high school, Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina. He now works as an assistant coach for the Greensboro Swarm.
