Musical Journey
Forming the Band Hombres G
When David Summers was a teenager, he and three friends started a group. Later, in 1982, David met Rafael Gutierrez. They became friends and Rafa joined David's group. They decided to call their band "Hombres G". This name came from a 1935 movie called G Men.
David's songwriting skills were very important for the band. A new music label, Producciones Twins, helped them become successful. The band's early songs were fun and playful. This made them stand out from other groups.
Hombres G released seven albums and two movies by 1992. They became one of the most popular Spanish bands of the 1980s. Their music sold very well, and fans loved them. The group took a break in 1993. However, they got back together in 2002. Since then, Hombres G continues to make new music and perform.
