David Summers Rodríguez, born on February 26, 1964, is a Spanish musician. He is best known as the lead singer and bass player for the popular pop/rock band Hombres G.

About David Summers
Early Life and Family
David Summers was born in Madrid, Spain. His father, Manuel Summers Rivero, was a Spanish film director. His mother is Consuelo Rodríguez Marquez.
David married Marta Madruga on January 18, 1992. They had twins, Daniel and Lucía, in 2000. Marta played David's girlfriend in the 1987 movie Sufre Mamón. People think she might be the inspiration for some of his songs. In 2024, David married Christine Cambeiro.
Music Career
Forming the Band Hombres G
When David Summers was a teenager, he and three friends started a group. Later, in 1982, David met Rafael Gutierrez. They became friends and Rafa joined the group.
They decided to call their band "Hombres G". This name came from an old movie called G Men.
Hombres G's Success
David's songwriting skills helped the band become very successful. Their early music was fun and unique. This made them stand out from other groups.
Between 1985 and 1992, Hombres G released seven albums. They also made two movies. The band became one of the most popular Spanish groups of the 1980s.
The group took a break in 1993. But they got back together in 2002. Since then, Hombres G has continued to tour and release new music.
David's Solo Work
After Hombres G split up in 1993, David Summers started his own solo career. He was the only member who kept making music. He released three studio albums and one live album.
His first solo album, David Summers, came out in 1994. He dedicated this album to his father, who passed away around that time.
David's solo songs are often described as romantic and deep. He has also written songs for other artists, like Luz Casal. In 2017, he worked with Aleks Syntek to remake the song El ataque de las chicas cocodrilo.
