This lake is situated in the Uintah Mountains, which are a big mountain range. It's also part of the Ashley National Forest, a large protected area. You can find Deadman Lake at the western base of a mountain called Mount Untermann.
What Rivers Flow From Deadman Lake?
A small stream flows west from Mount Untermann. This stream, along with Deadman Lake itself, forms the very beginning, or "headwaters," of a river called Dry Fork. Dry Fork then flows southeast and eventually joins Ashley Creek. This happens near a place called Steinaker Reservoir.
