Decora is a small place in Gordon County, Georgia, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the county.
History of Decora
Decora got its name from the Latin word for "good behavior." Imagine a place named after being well-behaved!
A long time ago, in 1888, Decora had its own post office. This was a very important place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for several years, but it closed down in 1905.
