About Dee Edwards
Dee Edwards was married to Floyd Jones, who helped arrange music. They worked together on several songs. In 1970, their song "Say It Again With Feeling" was released. Later, in 1972, she released another song called "I Can Deal With That". This was one of her last recordings in Detroit.
Dee and Floyd then moved to New York City. In 1979, Dee had a popular disco hit called "Don't Sit Down". This song was from her album Heavy Love. The album also included a slower song called "No Love, No World". She also sang her own version of "Stranger On The Shore".
During the 1980s, Dee Edwards recorded "It Has Come to My Attention". This song became very popular with soul music fans in the United Kingdom. Dee was also a talented painter. She decided to leave the music business to focus on her family in Detroit.
Dee Edwards passed away in 2006 at the age of 60. In 2010, the company Adidas used a remixed version of her song "Why Can't There Be Love" in a TV commercial. This commercial was part of their 'Celebrating Originality on the Streets' campaign.
