Defne Joy Foster (born September 2, 1975 – died February 2, 2011) was a talented actress, presenter, and VJ from America and Turkey. She was known for her energetic personality and various roles on television.

Defne Joy Foster was born in İncirlik, a town in Turkey. Her mother, Hatice, was from İzmir, Turkey, and her father, Steve, was American. Defne went to primary school in Alsancak and later attended İzmir Özel Fatih Lisesi, a private high school in İzmir.

In 2008, Defne married İlker Yasin Solmaz. They had one child together, a son named Can Kılıç, who was born in 2009. Defne sadly passed away in Istanbul in 2011.

Defne Joy Foster first became famous as a VJ on Kral TV. A VJ, or video jockey, is someone who introduces music videos on television. She was very good at this job and soon started acting in different TV shows.

One of her last big appearances was on Yok Böyle Dans. This was the Turkish version of the popular show Dancing with the Stars. Defne was a contestant and showed off her dancing skills. She did very well, finishing in 4th place in January 2011.
