The Delaware Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is a group of talented musicians. They play classical music together. The DSO is based in Wilmington, Delaware.
It started in 1929. Two music groups, the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra and the Wilmington Music School, joined forces. This created the DSO. Every year, about 55,000 people enjoy their concerts. Most shows happen at the beautiful Grand Opera House.
In 2009, the orchestra made history. They signed their first recording deal. They recorded a CD with the amazing Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. This CD was released by Telarc International Corporation.
